The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Parts of northwest Texas



* Effective this Monday night from 635 PM until Midnight CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5

    inches in diameter likely

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Isolated supercells are expected to continue spreading

eastward to the cool side of a surface front, from west central into

northwest Texas.  The strongest storms will be capable of producing

isolated very large hail and damaging gusts into the early overnight

hours.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45

statute miles north and south of a line from 60 miles west northwest

of Abilene TX to 20 miles east northeast of Mineral Wells TX. For a
