The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Coastal southwestern Alabama

  Western Panhandle of Florida

  Extreme southeastern Mississippi

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Saturday morning from 135 AM until 1100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible



SUMMARY...Regardless of whether the low-pressure area moving off the

Gulf and over southeastern LA formally gets a name, a narrow but

favorable environment for tornadoes to its east and northeast will

spread across coastal areas from MS to the western FL Panhandle with

time this morning.  Small supercells should continue to move ashore,

both embedded in the main band now in western parts of the watch,

and in isolated/discrete fashion farther east.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles

either side of a line from 30 miles west southwest of Gulfport MS to

15 miles south southeast of Crestview FL. For a complete depiction

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
