The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southern Iowa

  West Central Illinois

  Northeast Kansas

  Northern Missouri



* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 400 PM until

  1100 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter likely

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will continue to develop along a cold front

extending across western Iowa into northwest Missouri.  These storms

will track eastward across the watch through the evening, posing a

risk of damaging wind gusts and hail.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 80

statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles north of Cedar

Rapids IA to 25 miles east of Kansas City MO. For a complete

tornadoes.
