  SOUTHEAST MONTANA

  SOUTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA

  WESTERN AND CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA

  NORTHEAST WYOMING



* EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 415 PM UNTIL

  1100 PM MDT.



* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...

  SCATTERED LARGE HAIL AND ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 3.5

    INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

  ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 80 MPH POSSIBLE

  A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE



SUMMARY...IN AN ENVIRONMENT CHARACTERIZED BY STRONG SHEAR AND

MODERATE TO STRONG INSTABILITY...INITIAL HIGH-BASED SUPERCELLS WILL

SPREAD FROM FAR EASTERN WYOMING AND SOUTHEAST MONTANA INTO SOUTH

DAKOTA AND SOUTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA. VERY LARGE HAIL WILL BE POSSIBLE

ASIDE FROM THE POSSIBILITY OF A TORNADO. STORMS MAY EVENTUALLY

CLUSTER THIS EVENING WITH AN INCREASING POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WINDS

ACROSS SOUTH DAKOTA AND SOUTHERN NORTH DAKOTA.

STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES SOUTH

SOUTHWEST OF BROADUS MONTANA TO 30 MILES NORTH OF PIERRE SOUTH
