The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northern Iowa

  Southeast Minnesota

  Western Wisconsin



* Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 900 PM

  until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Strong to occasionally severe thunderstorms should

continue to develop and move northeastward across the region through

late evening and early in the overnight. The strongest storms will

be capable of severe hail and locally damaging winds.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50

statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles west southwest

of Mason City IA to 50 miles east northeast of Eau Claire WI. For a

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.

2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A
