The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Eastern Louisiana

  Central and southern Mississippi



* Effective this Wednesday morning and evening from 1020 AM until

  600 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible



SUMMARY...Multiple convective bands associated with Tropical Cyclone

Harvey will offer a risk for brief tornadoes into this evening.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles

either side of a line from 50 miles east of Pine Belt MS to 45 miles

northwest of Natchez MS. For a complete depiction of the watch see

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch

area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for

threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements

and possible warnings.
