The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  northwest Georgia

  eastern Tennessee

  far southwestern Virginia



* Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 800 PM

  until 400 AM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph likely

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5

    inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms moving southeast across eastern Kentucky and

northern middle Tennessee will continue to spread southeast across

the eastern Tennessee area and vicinity over the next several hours.

 The storms will be accompanied by the risk for large hail and

damaging winds, and possibly a tornado or two.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles

east and west of a line from 45 miles west northwest of Bristol TN

to 5 miles southeast of Chattanooga TN. For a complete depiction of
