The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  South-central and southeast Kansas



* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 1005 PM

  until 400 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events

    to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will continue to develop late this evening

within a northeast/southwest-oriented corridor across

south-central/east-central Kansas, and subsequently spread generally

east/southeastward through the overnight. Large hail and damaging

winds are the primary hazards.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50

statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles west southwest

of Wichita KS to 35 miles northeast of Chanute KS. For a complete
