The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northwest Kansas

  Central and Northeast Nebraska

  Southeast South Dakota



* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 510 PM

  until 1100 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Widespread damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75

    mph likely

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5

    inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will form this afternoon over western

Nebraska into southeast South Dakota, and spread eastward across the

watch area through the evening.  Large hail will be a concern with

early storms, with increasing risk of damaging wind gusts through

the evening.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 90

statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles west southwest

of Imperial NE to 45 miles east of Mitchell SD. For a complete

tornadoes.
