The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southern Alabama

  Western Florida Panhandle

  Southeastern Mississippi

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Saturday morning from 120 AM until 900 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Isolated strong-severe thunderstorms near an

inland-shifting warm front -- and later a better-organized

convective complex -- should move across the watch area into

mid-morning.  Embedded supercells and mesovortices may produce

tornadoes, with damaging gusts also expected, and isolated severe

hail possible.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles

north and south of a line from 20 miles northwest of Gulfport MS to

30 miles northeast of Crestview FL. For a complete depiction of the
