The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  North-central Kansas

  South-central Nebraska



* Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 650 PM

  until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Intensifying and organizing storms across northwest Kansas

early this evening should continue to spread east-northeastward

across north-central Kansas and south-central Nebraska through the

evening. Bouts of large hail will be possible, but a warm and

well-mixed environment will support the possibility of

severe-caliber wind gusts as well.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles north

northwest of Hill City KS to 40 miles east southeast of Grand Island
