The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northeast Kentucky

  Western Maryland

  Southern Ohio

  Southern Pennsylvania

  Northern West Virginia



* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 220 PM until

  1000 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Amid cloud breaks and relatively rich low-level moisture,

the air mass across the region will continue to gradually

destabilize with an expected increase and intensification of

thunderstorms this afternoon. Strong nearly unidirectional

deep-layer winds could support fast-moving line segments and bows

along with the possibility of a few splitting supercells. Damaging

winds should be the most common hazard.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45

statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles south of

Cincinnati OH to 30 miles northeast of Harrisburg PA. For a complete

tornadoes.
