The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northern Minnesota

  Eastern North Dakota



* Effective this Tuesday night from 605 PM until Midnight CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Isolated to widely scattered storms are expected to

gradually develop and intensify through the evening hours, with the

strongest storms capable of severe hail and strong wind gusts as

storms develop east-southeastward this evening.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 100

statute miles east and west of a line from 10 miles northwest of

Roseau MN to 55 miles south southwest of Detroit Lakes MN. For a

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.

2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A
