The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Eastern Georgia

  Southern South Carolina

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Tuesday morning from 150 AM until 900 AM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A thunderstorm complex is expected to proceed generally

southeastward either side of the Savannah River Valley to the

Atlantic, offering damaging winds and isolated hail.  An embedded

tornado cannot be ruled out.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55

statute miles either side of a line from 50 miles west southwest of

Augusta GA to 50 miles east southeast of Savannah GA. For a complete

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
