The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southern Oklahoma

  North Texas



* Effective this Monday morning from 345 AM until 1000 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated significant damaging wind gusts to 75 mph possible



SUMMARY...A bowing belt of thunderstorms with a history of strong

and severe gusts will move southeastward into the watch through the

remainder of the pre-dawn hours.  While the complex generally should

weaken with time and southward extent, some damaging and severe

winds still may occur as far south as the Red River area.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35

statute miles either side of a line from 75 miles east northeast of

Durant OK to 80 miles west southwest of Ardmore OK. For a complete

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
