The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northern Arkansas



* Effective this Wednesday morning from 310 AM until 900 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A fast-moving cluster of storms will continue to progress

east/northeastward across northern Arkansas through the early

morning hours, with localized wind damage the main threat. The Fort

Smith, Arkansas airport recently reported a 53 knot measured wind

gust.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35

statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles northwest of

Russellville AR to 10 miles north northeast of Batesville AR. For a
