The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  central and southern Illinois

  southwest Indiana



* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 1205 PM until

  700 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Line of storms may continue to pose a risk for isolated

damaging wind gusts as it moves across southern Illinois and

eventually into southwest Indiana this afternoon.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70

statute miles either side of a line from 25 miles northeast of

Mattoon IL to 35 miles southeast of Mount Vernon IL. For a complete
