The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Central and Southeast Texas



* Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 1110 PM

  until 400 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Multiple storm clusters including some supercells will

continue eastward through the overnight across the Texas Hill County

and broader parts of central into southeast Texas. Isolated large

hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards, but a tornado

cannot be entirely ruled out.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45

statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles east northeast

of Huntsville TX to 25 miles northwest of Hondo TX. For a complete

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
