The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Extreme southeast Montana

  The Nebraska Panhandle

  West central and southwest South Dakota

  Northeast and east central Wyoming



* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 425 PM until

  1100 PM MDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Clusters of storms, including some supercells, are

expected to form this afternoon and spread east-southeastward

through late evening.  The primary threats are expected to be

outflow gusts up to 70 mph and isolated large hail near 1.5 inches

in diameter.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 80

statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles west southwest

of Gillette WY to 20 miles southeast of Chadron NE. For a complete

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
