The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Northwestern Arkansas

  Western Illinois

  Southeastern Kansas

  Southern and eastern Missouri

  Northeastern Oklahoma



* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 905 PM

  until 400 AM CST.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to develop along and ahead of a

cold front and move into a favorable parameter space for all severe

hazards, including the risk for strong tornadoes.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles

north and south of a line from 35 miles north of Tulsa OK to 35

miles east northeast of Alton IL. For a complete depiction of the
