The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  southeastern Indiana

  north central Kentucky

  central and southern Ohio

  southwestern Pennsylvania

  northern West Virginia



* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 310 PM until

  1100 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A cluster of thunderstorms is expected to continue to

evolve and organize along and south of a frontal zone extending

across the region.  Strongest storms may be capable of producing

severe hail, with increasing potential for damaging wind gusts

during the next several hours.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles west southwest

of Dayton OH to 40 miles northeast of Parkersburg WV. For a complete

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
