The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northern Oklahoma



* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 935 PM

  until 500 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter

    possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Relatively isolated severe thunderstorms, including a few

supercells, ongoing across southern Kansas will continue to slowly

spread south-southeastward into northern Oklahoma through the late

evening and overnight hours. Isolated instances of large hail are

possible and localized severe-caliber winds are a possibility.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 25

statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles north

northwest of Gage OK to 15 miles east southeast of Ponca City OK.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
