The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Arkansas

  Far southern Missouri



* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 205 PM until

  900 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A cluster of storms will continue to move southeastward

across the region into an increasing warm and unstable air mass this

afternoon. Bouts of damaging winds will the most common hazard aside

from some hail.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 75

statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles west southwest

of Russellville AR to 30 miles east southeast of Jonesboro AR. For a
