The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southeast Texas

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Saturday morning and afternoon from 145 AM until

  100 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely

  Isolated significant damaging wind gusts to 75 mph possible



SUMMARY...As the center of Hurricane Harvey continues to shift

further inland very slowly, the tornado threat with

northeastern-sector spiral bands and supercells will persist.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles

either side of a line from 55 miles north of Victoria TX to 25 miles

south southeast of Port Arthur TX. For a complete depiction of the

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch

area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for

threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements

and possible warnings.
