The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Eastern Iowa

  Northwest Illinois

  Southwest Wisconsin



* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 745 PM

  until 200 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Scattered intense thunderstorms will continue to develop

over eastern Iowa and track eastward across the watch area this

evening.  Locally damaging winds are the main threat, with large

hail also possible in the strongest cells.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50

statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles west northwest

of Waterloo IA to 80 miles east southeast of Dubuque IA. For a

tornadoes.
