The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Western South Dakota

  Northeast Wyoming



* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 1255 PM until

  700 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Scattered storms are developing in northeast Wyoming and

may consolidate into an eastward-moving cluster as they spread

across western South Dakota this afternoon. A mix of severe hail and

wind should be the primary threat.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 65

statute miles north and south of a line from 100 miles west

southwest of Rapid City SD to 40 miles north northeast of Philip SD.
