The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southeast New Mexico

  Northwest Texas



* Effective this Monday night from 640 PM until Midnight CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Multiple supercells and clusters will likely spread east

this evening with large hail and severe wind gusts as the primary

threats. A tornado is also possible, particularly along the I-27

corridor in northwest Texas.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 85

statute miles east and west of a line from 55 miles southwest of

Lubbock TX to 25 miles northwest of Amarillo TX. For a complete
