The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  West Texas



* Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 1100 PM

  until 600 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3

    inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Redevelopment of discrete cells quickly growing upscale

into one or more clusters is expected overnight across the Permian

Basin towards the Concho Valley. Very large hail during the initial

phase of storm development should be the primary hazard.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 80

statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles west of

Midland TX to 45 miles north northeast of Junction TX. For a
