The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southwest North Dakota

  Western South Dakota

  Northeast Wyoming



* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 150 PM until

  900 PM MDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75

    mph possible

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorms are expected to quickly develop and

race northeastward as a warm front otherwise continues to spread

northward across South Dakota and eventually reaches southern North

Dakota. Supercells capable of large hail and a couple of tornadoes

are initially expected, although storms may merge into clusters by

late afternoon/early evening with a continued damaging wind and some

tornado risk.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles

east and west of a line from 30 miles north northeast of Lemmon SD

to 70 miles south of Rapid City SD. For a complete depiction of the
