The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northwest and north central Oklahoma



* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 1035 PM

  until 400 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Isolated supercells across the northeast Texas Panhandle

will spread eastward overnight, while possible growth into small

bowing segments.  Other isolated storms will continue in the zone of

strong warm advection across north central Oklahoma.  Large hail

will be the main threat, though damaging winds could occur if the

convection develops more linear/bowing structures overnight across

northwest Oklahoma.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35

statute miles north and south of a line from 15 miles northwest of

Gage OK to 25 miles south of Ponca City OK. For a complete depiction

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.

AVIATION...A few severe thunderstorms with hail surface and aloft to

1.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A
