The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Far southwest Louisiana

  Southeast Texas

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Saturday and Sunday morning from 1245 PM until

  200 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes and a couple intense tornadoes possible



SUMMARY...Sporadic rotating storms in the outer bands of tropical

cyclone Harvey will pose a risk for a few tornadoes into tonight.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 85 statute miles

either side of a line from 40 miles west southwest of Angleton TX to

40 miles east of Port Arthur TX. For a complete depiction of the

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch

area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for

threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements

and possible warnings.

OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...This tornado watch replaces tornado

watch number 467. Watch number 467 will not be in effect after

1245 PM CDT.



AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail

surface and aloft to 0.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind

gusts to 55 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 500. Mean

storm motion vector 19040.
