The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Western and central Minnesota

  Extreme eastern South Dakota



* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 1035 PM

  until 500 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75

    mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A band of thunderstorms will continue to move east-

northeastward across the rest of watch 487 and into this watch

overnight.  Additional damaging gusts, along with isolated large

hail, are possible before this activity weakens below severe levels

late tonight.  A brief tornado or two cannot be ruled out.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55

statute miles east and west of a line from 10 miles south southeast

of Worthington MN to Bemidji MN. For a complete depiction of the
