The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southeast Arkansas

  Far Northeast Louisiana

  Central Mississippi



* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 830 PM

  until 400 AM CST.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Clusters of storms will continue to progress southeastward

from Arkansas into Mississippi and possibly far northeast Louisiana

late this evening into the overnight. Locally damaging winds will be

possibly although bouts of severe hail should be the most common

risk.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50

statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles west northwest

of Greenville MS to 40 miles southeast of Greenwood MS. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
