The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Extreme southeast Arkansas

  North central and northeast Louisiana

  West central Mississippi



* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 445 PM until

  1000 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter likely

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A band of strong-severe storms moving into northwest

Louisiana will likely persist for the next several hours while the

storms move eastward toward the Mississippi River this evening.

Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats with the

stronger embedded storms.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 85

statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north of

Greenville MS to 30 miles east of Alexandria LA. For a complete
