The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northwestern and extreme northern Arkansas

  Western Illinois

  Extreme southeastern Kansas

  Southwestern through eastern Missouri



* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1110

  PM until 700 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts

    to 75 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Two complexes of severe thunderstorms should maintain some

damaging-wind threat as they move through the watch area -- the

first over western through north-central MO moving eastward, the

second over eastern OK moving northeastward.  See SPC mesoscale

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 115

statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles southwest of

Monett MO to 10 miles east southeast of Saint Louis MO. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
