The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  District Of Columbia

  Northeast Maryland

  Northern Virginia

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 555 PM until

  1100 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are sagging southward across Pennsylvania

and into northern Maryland, while other storms form to the west.

Conditions are favorable for locally gusty/damaging wind gusts and

hail in the strongest cells.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40

statute miles north and south of a line from 20 miles south of

Martinsburg WV to 40 miles east of Baltimore MD. For a complete
