The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southeast South Dakota



* Effective this Wednesday morning from 435 AM until 1000 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter

    possible



SUMMARY...An intense storm cluster across central South Dakota with

a history of large hail is likely to continue southeastward toward

southeast South Dakota through the early morning hours. Large hail

will remain the primary concern.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50

statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles north northwest

of Mitchell SD to 55 miles south of Mitchell SD. For a complete

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
