The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southeast Alabama

  Florida Panhandle

  Central and Southwest Georgia

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Sunday morning and evening from 1125 AM until

  700 PM CST.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Widespread damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will develop and intensify across Alabama

this afternoon, spreading eastward into the watch area.  Supercells

capable of damaging winds and a few tornadoes are possible.  Strong

tornadoes are also possible.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles

east and west of a line from 20 miles east northeast of Athens GA to

35 miles south southwest of Marianna FL. For a complete depiction of
