The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southeast Oklahoma

  North-central and Northeast Texas



* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning from

  530 PM until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts

    to 75 mph possible

  Scattered large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A complex of storms will continue to move eastward and

gradually accelerate in its forward motion. Damaging winds and

isolated large hail are expected, and a tornado cannot be ruled out,

either with any individual storms ahead of the line and/or with

line-embedded circulations.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 65

statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles east northeast

of Mcalester OK to 25 miles south southeast of Fort Worth TX. For a

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
