The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Far eastern Kansas

  West-central to southern Missouri



* Effective this Monday morning and afternoon from 840 AM until

  200 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts

    to 75 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A cluster of strong to locally severe storms over the

Kansas City metro area should persist southeast and potentially

intensify as it spreads into the Ozarks area through early

afternoon. Damaging winds should be the primary hazard.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles east and west of a line from 95 miles north northwest

of Springfield MO to 25 miles west southwest of West Plains MO. For
