The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Extreme southeast Alabama

  Part of the Florida Panhandle

  Southern Georgia



* Effective this Sunday morning from 320 AM until 1000 AM EST.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Clusters of severe storms will continue to spread

east-northeastward across southern GA through the early morning

hours.  The storm environment will remain favorable for supercells,

and the potential for an isolated strong tornado or two.  Otherwise,

damaging winds and isolated large hail will be possible with the

strongest storms.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles

north and south of a line from 60 miles west southwest of Albany GA

to 30 miles south of Savannah GA. For a complete depiction of the

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
