The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  southern Oklahoma

  north Texas



* Effective this Thursday morning from 520 AM until 1100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A line of severe thunderstorms will continue to develop

eastward across northwest into north Texas, and across the Red River

into Oklahoma. Damaging winds are likely, with a brief tornado or

two possible.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 85

statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles south southeast

of Wichita Falls TX to 40 miles north northwest of Ardmore OK. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
