The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southeast Arkansas

  Southeast Louisiana

  Mississippi

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1105

  PM until 700 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes and a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...In advance of an approaching upper-level trough, low-level

moistening will continue to occur across the region along with

continually strengthening low-level shear. This will be conducive

for a mixed convective mode including linearly related bowing

segments along with some supercells along/ahead of the convective

line. The potential exists for damaging winds and tornadoes, a

couple of which could be strong, through the early morning hours of

Thursday.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 75 statute miles

east and west of a line from 40 miles northeast of Greenwood MS to

15 miles east of Houma LA. For a complete depiction of the watch see
