The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  South-central and southwestern Louisiana

  Extreme southeast Texas

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Saturday morning from 255 AM until 1000 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...The northern part of a linear thunderstorm complex should

proceed eastward mainly near and south of I-10 to the Gulf, offering

sporadic damaging gusts.  A brief tornado also cannot be ruled out.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35

statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles west northwest

of Port Arthur TX to 30 miles east southeast of Lafayette LA. For a

tornadoes.
