The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southeast Texas



* Effective this Thursday night and Friday morning from 630 PM

  until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter likely

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are increasing in coverage and intensity

over southeast Texas.  These storms will pose a risk of hail and

gusty/damaging winds through the evening.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50

statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles south

southeast of Lufkin TX to 50 miles south southwest of College
