The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Northern Minnesota



* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 505 PM

  until 900 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter likely



SUMMARY...A few supercells will be possible across northern

Minnesota the remainder of this evening.  The more favorable zone

for a tornado or two will be along the surface warm front.  Large

hail will also be possible with the stronger storms, as well as

damaging winds if any clustering of storms occurs.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles

north and south of a line from 55 miles north northwest of Bemidji

MN to 55 miles north northeast of Hibbing MN. For a complete
