The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Central Texas

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 915 PM

  until 400 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...An expansive line of thunderstorms will track across much

of central Texas tonight, with the potential for large hail and

damaging wind gusts in the strongest cells.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 75

statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles west northwest

of Sherman TX to 40 miles southwest of Alice TX. For a complete
