The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southern Alabama

  Western and central Florida Panhandle

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Saturday morning from 220 AM until 800 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75

    mph possible

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A complex of thunderstorms will pose a threat for severe

gusts and a tornado or two as it moves rapidly southeastward through

the area, through the pre-dawn hours.  Ahead of that, isolated

supercells also may move inland from the Gulf with a large-hail

and/or tornado threat.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles

north and south of a line from 20 miles north northwest of Mobile AL

to 10 miles east southeast of Marianna FL. For a complete depiction
