The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southeast Montana



* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 500 PM until

  1100 PM MDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms have developed north of Billings ahead of an

approaching upper disturbance.  These storms are likely to persist

for several hours, tracking southeastward across the watch area.

Large hail and damaging winds will be possible.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70

statute miles east and west of a line from 80 miles west northwest

of Miles City MT to 65 miles west southwest of Broadus MT. For a
