The heat of summer arrived quickly with Sunday bringing very warm temperatures to the state once again. Spencer (NW Iowa) hit 90 plus degrees for a high temperature for the fourth straight day. The featured chart presents the accumulated number of 90 degree high temperature days for the site with the range of values, simple average, and this year's total plotted. This early June warmth has the accumulated total off to a fast start, but we are still well below the maximum for the year to date period. The 90 degree weather looks to continue for this week with not much in the way of rainfall forecast.
